About me
Rebekah Campbell, MD, is an endocrine surgeon who specializes in the treatment of thyroid disease, parathyroid gland disorders, adrenal gland disorders, and small bowel neuroendocrine tumors. Patients diagnosed with these complex conditions often experience a multitude of medical challenges and associated symptoms, and are referred to Dr. Campbell for comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and surgical intervention. She is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Prior to joining MedStar Health, Dr. Campbell was part of the general and endocrine surgery team at CHI Health, where she practiced in both the Omaha, Nebraska and Council Bluffs, Iowa locations. In tandem, she served as an assistant professor at the Creighton University School of Medicine, and was actively involved in the school’s Vital Signs Mentor Program for medical students.
Throughout her career, Dr. Campbell has devoted time to industry research, with a goal to advance evidence-based care and improve long-term outcomes for patients diagnosed with thyroid cancer and other disorders. She has published numerous publications and abstracts, and has served as a guest lecturer at several industry conferences and residency training events.
Philosophy of Care
“I am passionate about educating my patients about the disease process and their treatment options. As a doctor, I feel its important to engage them and their families in plan of care decisions and then guide them every step of the way. Endocrine surgery is complex, and requires that we evaluate and treat each patient holistically. It’s one reason why I love my work.” —Dr. Rebekah Campbell
