As Vice President of Philanthropy, Adrienne Cappello leads fundraising and donor engagement strategies for MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. In this role, she serves on the hospital’s Executive Team and the MedStar Philanthropy Group Leadership Team, partnering to support the strategic priorities of both hospital and health system.
Prior to joining MedStar Health, Adrienne held progressive frontline fundraising roles at New York-Presbyterian, Weill Cornell Medicine, and Johns Hopkins, with her most recent appointment as Senior Director of Central Development and Constituent Engagement at the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine. In this role, she successfully led a team in the design and implementation of a comprehensive donor engagement program, with an emphasis on principal gifts donors and prospects.
Adrienne is a classically trained opera singer and received her bachelor’s degree in music from Ithaca College and her master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She is a frequent presenter at professional philanthropy conferences for organizations such as the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy and the Association of American Medical Colleges. Adrienne is also passionate about developing and mentoring the next generation of philanthropy professionals, encouraging them to think boldly and find their voice.
